This tutorial will show you how to create and show both the tele and wide lens field of view (FOV) boxes in SkySafari at the same time.
This is handy if you wish to see the FOV in the EQ orientaion which is currently not available in the DwarfLab atlas unless you are connected to the Dwarf 3 and in EQ mode.
So you can pre-plan any observations in EQ mode without having to connect and be in Eq mode.
01) Click the "Observe" button on the bottom bar.
02) Click on "Equipment".
03) This page displays any saved equipment and it also allows you to add custom equipment. We need to add both the telescope and camera elements seperately.
Next to the Telescopes heading, click the little + sign. This is where we add the telescope elements of the Dwarf 3.
04) Enter the perameters as seen in this picture for the wide lens and click "Add to my equipment".
05) Now enter these perameters for the tele lens, again clicking "Add to my equipment" once entered.
06) Head back to the equipment page and now click the + next to the Cameras heading. This is where we add the camera elements of the Dwarf 3.
07) Now enter these perameters for the tele camera, clicking "Add to my equipment" once entered.
08) And these perameters for the wide camera, clicking "Add to my equipment" one last time.
09) Back on the main screen, Click "Observe" then "Scope Display".
010) From here, click the "Create Field of View" button, then click "From Equipment".
011) Now select JUST the tele telescope and tele camera and click the X on the top right. This is now selected and is on display in the SkySafari atlas.
012) Now repeat the "create Field of View process but this time JUST selecting the wide items. Click the X to confirm the selection.
You should now have both FOV boxes displaying on the main screen.
